1950 F.A. Reynolds catalog

Visually, this catalog is very similar to the 1949 catalog, but there are a few important differences:

  1. The lists of instruments on the pricing pages at the end have been updated with the Contempora model name, though most of the instrument pages still refer to "Reynolds" models.
  2. The Emperor line is introduced. Note the "Tone Tempered" models with nickel-silver bell flares that were part of the Roth lineup in 1949.
  3. Despite the "3 R's" branding on the cover, all Regent model instruments have been dropped from the catalog with the exception of the nickel-silver clarinet.
  4. Use of the "Professional" brand name for the Reynolds cornet and tenor trombone.
  5. Addition of the "Pottag Model" designation to the Double French Horn.
  6. An Emperor bass trombone with "medium large bore" and an 8½" bell. This likely was upgraded to the Professional Bass Trombone in later catalogs.

While the cover has been updated to read "Scherl & Roth" instead of "F.A. Reynolds", it still seems pre-1952 when "Roth-Reynolds" was introduced. So likely this catalog is from 1950 or 1951.
